Achieva Africa is a Nigerian education systems development organization with an Africa-wide focus. We design and deliver context-responsive solutions that strengthen educator capability, teacher preparation, education workforce systems, institutional capacity, education data, and program implementation.
We were established in response to connected constraints that limit teaching quality and student learning. These include gaps between teacher education and classroom practice, uneven access to continuing professional development, fragmented teacher recruitment and deployment, limited instructional support, weaknesses in continuous assessment and education records, and gaps between policy decisions and delivery in schools and communities.
Our work follows the education delivery chain from national and subnational priorities to teacher-training institutions, schools, educators, and learners. We engage education students, teacher educators, classroom teachers, school leaders, education administrators and communities. We also work with public institutions and development partners to contextualize education programs, strengthen implementation processes, and improve the flow of evidence from delivery to decision-making.
Achieva Africa brings together multidisciplinary experience in program design, project management, teacher capability improvement, education workforce planning, professional learning, technology, data analysis, product development, institutional strategy, and stakeholder engagement. These capabilities support an approach in which teacher development, workforce decisions, education data and program delivery are treated as connected parts of education system performance.
Based in Nigeria, we combine local knowledge with structured program design and implementation. Our role is to complement the mandates of public institutions and the work of development partners by helping education solutions respond to local conditions and reach the institutions, educators, schools, and communities for which they are intended. Through this work, Achieva Africa contributes to stronger teaching practice, more capable institutions, and improved learning across Nigeria and Africa.
